Spotlight on Gaming: NVIDIA’s Gamer Connect 2017 comes to Lucknow

NVIDIA hosted Gamer Connect 2017’s fourth edition in Lucknow at Ramada, Junab Ganj. The company’s flagship gamer engagement event saw a turnaround of more than 1500 gaming enthusiasts.

Gamer Connect is a platform for the gaming community in India to bond, interact and explore new avenues in gaming; simultaneously experiencing the latest technologies introduced to PC gaming. Prior to this, NVIDIA hosted their event in three other cities – Kolkata, Kochi and Ahmedabad, where they successfully connected 5000 gaming enthusiasts on the ground and engaged 3 million gamers online.

The event witnessed the launch of X1 by XRIG, a compact gaming PC that has the power of a desktop and the portability of a laptop. X1 will be available in 3 different variants- Radical, eSports and Lux, powered by NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1050, GTX 1050 Ti and GTX 1060, the price of which starts from Rs 50000. This is the first standardized product lineup by XRIG, to give users the best experience without compromising on the performance, power and capability of a PC.

During the event, the gamers were enthralled to witness AAA games like Project Cars 2, PUBG, PES, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands, Titanfall 2, & Tekken 7. The attendees also had a chance to experience LG’s premium range of Gaming Monitor including the popular 21:9 UltraWide curved beauty along with 4K-UHD Display.The event partners such as Dell and LG also displayed their latest products.

“GamerConnect is our flagship event with the primary objective to connect with gamers and to give them firsthand experience of latest technology in gaming such as 4K, Virtual Reality & AAA games. Our aim is to boost gaming culture in India and raise the standards to a competitive level. After this event today, we will be heading to Hyderabad in December,” said Vamsi Krishna, Head – Consumer Marketing, South Asia, NVIDIA.

At the event NVIDIA showcased GeForce GTX graphic cards featuring the latest Pascal architecture. The participants experienced cutting edge technologies like Virtual Reality and 4K, and immersed themselves in the gaming world.

On exhibition, was Dell’s latest laptops packed with GeForce GTX 10-series. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080, 1070, 1060 and 1050 GPUs for notebooks, provide gamers with a quantum leap in performance and power efficiency on the world’s fastest-growing gaming platform. Compared with prior-generation, Maxwell architecture-based GPUs, the new GTX 10-Series GPUs for notebooks deliver up to 75 percent more performance, right out of the box.
