Doel Card ET 106 Review | ChannelDrive.in

Doel Card ET 106 is cute, small phone and packs in great usability features of a basic level phone. Doel ET 106 is a feature phone that is ideal to be kept inside a pocket or purse.

Whats more interesting is the fact that this phone can also be connected with your existing smartphone to make and receive calls just like a Bluetooth handsfree device. While reviewing this product we used this just to receive phone calls and hence, this way I was able to save a lot of battery power on my primary device.

A little bit about the company – Doel International Pvt Ltd, is a new entrant into the Indian mobile phone market, the company has recently unveiled one of the most basic feature phones ever — the Doel Card ET 106 feature phone.

This is a basic level feature phone — it only features a 4G-enabled
GSM mobile phone for calls and text and additionally has an FM radio
and MP3 player.

This phone is quite aptly priced at INR 3,000, especially considering
the amount of features it contains. However, the USP of the device is
its super-compact size and inter-phone connectivity. The phone is
aimed towards the idea of having a small, spare phone which can be kept almost anywhere.

Doel Card ET 106 – Look and Feel

The credit-card sized handset has a 1.8-inch 262k-pixel TFT LCD
colour display with a touch keyboard. Connectivity options include
Bluetooth 3.0+EDR with AVRCP/A2DP support, micro USB port, FM radio, M9 proprietary earphone jack and it also has a single 4G GSM micro SIM option.

The user interface is quite basic and we simply loved the simplistic form factor. The phone comes with 61 types of ringtones with MP4 support. This phone is powered by a 500mAh battery and all of the above is packed within a 6.9mm thick cover weighing just 50g in weight.

This phone is definitely a cute device to handle — its credit-card sized form factor makes it really a special device and it easily fit in a small pocket of your bag.

Connecting with Primary Device

The most special feature of this phone is the fact that you can connect the phone to your existing smartphone using Bluetooth, which allows users to make and receive calls on your card. Essentially this Doel phone works like a Bluetooth headset for your existing smartphone. While reviewing this feature we used it multiple times and the voice clarity and ease of useage is quite good. Pair with Bluetooth, install an app called BT Connect on your smartphone, and you are done.

Battery Power

This device comes with 500mAh battery which is barely enough for a two-day talk time or a three-day standby time. However, while reviewing this we experienced that the phone charges to full capacity in just about 30 minutes time with a good 2000mAh charger.

Final Verdict

Doel Card ET 106 phone can be your ideal companion to be used as a standby device along with your primary smartphone. The phone carries a 1-year warranty period and retails at an MRP of Rs 3,000 in India.
