MongoDB Grows its Partner Ecosystem and Challenges Oracle’s Enterprise Dominance

MongoDB, an organization which is challenging Oracle’s enterprise dominance has announced that its partner ecosystem has more than 850 technology and services partners, a 70% increase year-over-year.

Worldwide MongoDB adoption continues to grow rapidly as organizations leverage new technologies to keep pace with evolving customer and business demands.

Well over one third of the Fortune 100 companies rely on MongoDB for mission critical applications. Integral to this adoption is MongoDB’s partner ecosystem, which enables organizations to extend their technology investments with new solutions they build on MongoDB.

“Today’s user experience must delight the customer. We believe that consistent, reliable performance is at the heart of this optimized experience,” said Matt Kixmoeller, VP of Product at Pure Storage. “Legacy database and storage technologies weren’t built to scale and meet the needs of today’s rapidly-growing digital economy, which is why customers are modernizing their infrastructures with MongoDB and Pure Storage.”

Supporting the partner ecosystem, MongoDB’s partner certification program allows technology partners to certify their integrations with MongoDB Enterprise, the commercial edition of MongoDB. It also recognizes the MongoDB expertise of consulting and implementation partners. In the past 6 months, more than 20 partners have certified their technologies on MongoDB Enterprise, including leading enterprise content management systems (Adobe Experience Manager), analytics platforms (Alteryx), data security solutions (Vormetric and IBM), application performance management tools (AppDynamics), enterprise storage platforms (Pure Storage), and more. The program has also recognized systems integrators, including MongoDB’s 2014 Partner of the Year, Infusion, and financial technology firm First Derivatives.

“MongoDB is a natural fit for digital solutions. Its dynamic schema gives us the flexibility to effectively drive transformative projects with some of our leading customers,” said Vikram Duvvori, CTO, HCL Technologies. “HCL Technologies looks forward to strengthening our partnership with MongoDB to continue generating revenue and creating value for our clients with new technologies.”

“MongoDB and Alteryx are a natural combination in the new data and analytics stack,” said Seann Gardiner, VP of Business Development at Alteryx. “MongoDB allows companies to more easily build the applications that make use of complicated, multi-structured data. Alteryx provides the platform that can deliver insight from that data, using data blending and advanced analytics, directly to the line of business analysts who drive decision making. We’re both focused on reducing the time for organizations to reinvent their approach to data.”

In the past year, MongoDB has also forged strong relationships with industry leaders and innovative startups, including The Weather Channel, City of Chicago, Bosch Software Innovations, AHL Man Group, Chico’s FAS, Inc., Kuaidi Dache, Hootsuite’s Ubervu and x.ai.

“The fact that industry leaders like Adobe, IBM, and AppDynamics are investing in MongoDB is a testament to our staying power as the database standard for modern applications,” said Carlos Delatorre, CRO, MongoDB. “In addition to signing on many new partners, we’re also seeing a large increase in activity within our partner ecosystem, which is very exciting.”

Inaugural International Partner Summit

MongoDB will host its first International Partner Summit on May 31, prior to the 2nd Annual MongoDB World conference in New York City, June 1 – June 2. The Partner Summit will provide the partner ecosystem with an opportunity to come together to share trends, customer adoption, product roadmaps, success stories and more.
