Huawei, Nutanix Partner to Drive Hyper-Converged Infrastructure

Huawei servers were officially certified as the hardware for Nutanix’s hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) solution. Huawei servers are now included in the Nutanix hardware compatibility list, kick-starting the Huawei-Nutanix partnership in the HCI space.

Nutanix is an HCI solutions provider that integrates cutting-edge software and hardware. The HCI technology leader currently has the largest share in the global HCI market. It was ranked Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for HCI again in 2018.

The Huawei-Nutanix HCI solution is built on FusionServer 2288H V5, Huawei’s 2U dual-socket high-performance server certified by Nutanix. The jointly developed HCI solution is dedicated to building flexible cloud platforms to run enterprise virtualization workloads, including core services, private and hybrid clouds, big data, ROBOs, desktop clouds, and Microsoft enterprise applications.

Huawei servers make the HCI solution even more intelligent. Two illustrative examples are Huawei’s patented intelligent technologies: Fault Diagnosis & Management (FDM) that locates faults with 93% accuracy and 7–30 day prewarning, and Dynamic Energy Management Technology (DEMT) that dynamically senses service workloads and intelligently adjusts power consumption to save up to 15% energy.

Huawei, a major vendor of servers upholding the philosophy of ecosystem openness, has joined hands with Nutanix, a global HCI solution leader. Their combined strengths will simplify data centers and bring more value to customers in the HCI market.
