TAITRONICS 2017 Opens to Showcase Innovations on AIoT Smart Applications

TAITRONICS celebrates its 43nd anniversary! Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (TEEMA) are proud to present TAITRONICS 2017 from Oct. 11 to 14 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1.

During the opening ceremony, Ming-Hsin Kung, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) announced the successful accomplishment of Taiwan ICT industry and government’s determination to invigorate domestic collaboration with Southeast Asia countries. “TATRONICS successfully leads Taiwan electronics industry into another wave of paradigm shift as it enters the 43rd edition.”

James C. F. Huang, Chairman of TAITRA, unveiled the themes and highlights of TAITRONICS 2017. “New Technology, New Applications” is the main theme for this year’s event, which comprises 10 show areas including Energy-Efficiency Solutions, Smart Manufacturing, Smart Living & Consumer Electronics, Broadband Products & Cloud Tech, Cells, Batteries & Power Supplies, Industrial Process & Automation Equipment, Electronic Components & Parts, Active & Passive Components, Meters & Instruments and LED Lighting & Applications. Key exhibitors are Cheng Uei, Chroma, Compal, Excel Cell Electronic, GW Instek, Inventec, KING DESIGE, Lite-On, Protech, TATUNG, Tenmars and more.

James C. F. Huang addressed, “In addition to key leading Taiwanese companies, exhibitors from India, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore and China are also exhibiting to infuse their creativity into the show. Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology of India has made great connection with TAITRONICS for several years. They not only organize a National Pavilion again this year, but also lead a delegation to visit TAITRONICS.” Besides India, Japan and Korea also coordinate national pavilion to display this year.

For the first time, TAITRONICS invites international well known accelerators such as Garage+, TSS, Innoventure Startup Club Taipei and TRIPLE, all together of 14 innovative local and international startups. Such participation demonstrate not only how the TAITRONICS platform has integrated the electronics industry chain but also how it has become the optimal platform for building diverse, disruptive applications and innovative tech solutions.

In sync with Big Data, IoT and AI technology trends, TEEMA has invited the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and the Asia Pacific Industrial Analysis Association (APIAA) to showcase the achievements of a wide range of cross-industry smart applications in the AIoT Pavilion, such as smart agriculture, smart transportation, smart retails, smart medical and more. Further, to drive innovation and to facilitate creative alliance in different industries, the first Smart Innovation Application Award contest has been organized. 12 winning products will be on display during TAITRONICS.

Including AIoT Pavilion and the Startup Pavilion, there are six feature pavilions not to be missed. All the Pavilions focus on the latest worldwide topics and technologies, including Smart Devices and IoT Application Pavilion, Cloud Computing Association in Taiwan Cloud and IoT Pavilion, Green Technology Living Certification and Made in Taiwan Product MIT smile mark appliance Theme Pavilion.

In addition to displays, a series of forums and seminars will be held during TAITRONICS. Topics of the forums and seminars will focus on IoT handheld smart device, smart cities, wearable devices, automobile technology and LPWAN. Through prospective insights, high tech professional forum activities, and inspiring industry talents, TAITRONICS is able to promote innovative research and development of the new generations.

This year’s expo features around 400 exhibitors covering over 800 booths. By October 10, over 1,500 international buyers registered for TAITRONICS. The organizers are expecting to attract more than 3,000 buyers to the show. In order to efficiently assist international buyers search for potential partners with excellent products, TAITRA will organize one-on-one procurement meetings, matching the business opportunities of the supply and demand.
