CX Enabler Qualtrics Set to Open Data Center in Singapore

Qualtrics, an enabler in customer experience and creator of the experience management (XM) category, will open a data centre in Singapore.

This is part of the company’s continued and growing investment in helping organisations to manage and improve the four core experiences of business – customer, employee, brand, and product – across Southeast Asia.

Opening in 2021, the data centre will serve as the default location for Qualtrics users across Southeast Asia. This ensures all governments and organisations across the region are able to comply with data sovereignty and security requirements when leveraging the power of the Qualtrics Experience Management Platform™.

As part of the investment in Southeast Asia, Qualtrics also plans to grow its local team by at least 50% during 2021 to address increasing demand for its technologies across the region.

“To successfully move forward from the events of 2020, businesses and governments must be able to quickly listen, understand, and act on the expectations of customers, employees, and the wider market. Using the Qualtrics Experience Management Platform, organisations have the insights and ability they need to quickly take action with confidence. This is a critical advantage in rapidly changing environments, helping businesses achieve market differentiation by resolving and capitalising on new and emerging opportunities,” said Mao Gen Foo, Head of Southeast Asia, Qualtrics.

“With the opening of a dedicated data centre for Southeast Asia in Singapore, Qualtrics is well positioned to help businesses and governments improve the customer and employee experience they deliver with our industry-leading XM technologies. Our continued and substantial investment demonstrates our long-standing commitment to build the XM category in the region, giving local businesses the competitive advantage needed to continue competing on the global stage,” said Foo.

“Since launching in Asia Pacific and Japan in 2015, Qualtrics has achieved ultrarapid growth across the region. The opening of a new data centre in Singapore is the next logical step for us, helping satisfy growing demand for our XM Platform. The capabilities and expertise of the Qualtrics team is unmatched, and we are excited to continue this growth in 2021,” said Brigid Archibald, Managing Director for Asia Pacific and Japan, Qualtrics.

“SAP Southeast Asia’s priority is to help every customer transform into an Intelligent Enterprise. An Intelligent Enterprise listens, understands, and acts across every part of the business to make informed decisions and deliver the experiences that customers expect,” said Verena Siow, President and Managing Director, SAP Southeast Asia. “The establishment of a Qualtrics data centre in Singapore is of huge value to businesses and governments – giving them the tools and capabilities needed to thrive in today’s business environments. Qualtrics is central to helping businesses unlock the insights they need to improve every experience they deliver. “
