As a global market leader in the hybrid collaboration space, Barco aims to promote the adoption of wireless collaboration technology, facilitating a new-generation work model and allowing organizations to align with their ever-changing business needs.

That’s why our R&D teams are striving to create solutions aimed at further empowering organizations in this hybrid ecosystem. We have recently launched a premium model, ClickShare Conference CX-50 2nd generation, that offers greater flexibility for IT managers and unlocks an inclusive meeting experience for end-users in high-impact meeting spaces.

Can you tell us about the latest ClickShare Conference CX-50 2nd generation solution and how it is improving collaboration technology with its wireless conferencing solutions?

The high-end ClickShare Conference CX- 50 2nd generation device introduces dual screen support, enabling both content and people to be displayed side by side on two room displays. During video meetings, one of the screens is dedicated to the remote participants, where they remain visible at all times. This ensures a more equitable experience for all meeting attendees, no matter if they join remotely or in-room.

The ClickShare CX-50 2nd generation adds native interoperability to fixed room system set-ups by enabling automatic switching between Room mode and Bring Your Own Meeting mode. This allows users to easily switch between the fixed room system setup and other videoconferencing solutions. Connectivity options are simplified, with a single USB-C cable between the Base Unit and room display to power the device and send video output to the display. IT managers are able to meet strict internal security policies with both a wireless and wired alternative.

The combination of easy management via the XMS Cloud platform, SmartCare coverage and the agnostic nature of the product, makes the CX-50 2nd generation the smartest investment in the workplace of the future.

What will be the dominating trends in the hybrid work model?

Barco recognized the changing nature of work even before the pandemic hit. Businesses are now embracing digital strategies that prioritize flexibility to accommodate the modern and adaptable workforce.

This shift is at the heart of the hybrid work trend, and our products and solutions are geared toward making this transition smooth. As technology becomes more ingrained in our work lives, organizations will need to support flexible meeting room solutions to accommodate different meeting spaces, setups, scenarios, technologies and users. In this hybrid workplace, virtual collaboration tools, video conferencing, and communication apps will become even more important.

Another trend we are observing is a growing focus on sustainability and reducing carbon emissions among forward-thinking businesses. Lowering environmental footprints, investing in sustainable employability and building an inclusive workplace are adamant in this shift.

A great example are Barco‘s software labs in Noida, tailored to the needs of the modern workplace and a young workforce, with dedicated areas for brainstorming and innovative thinking.
