Dell is reinventing the channel with the introduction of new strategy for storage segment. How has been the channel feedback / experience with regards to your partner first storage initiative? Are there any specific channel partners who are performing greatly because of this?

Our strategy has been, and continues to be, focused on engaging partners to accelerate storage share growth. This announcement further accelerates that strategy. Our partners are all-in with us. When we asked our partners what they believe will help us collectively capture that opportunity, we heard even greater collaboration, predictability, and teaming – and we are delivering.

This strategy is how we will continue to win in storage – working even closer with our partners to play as one team to do what’s best for the customer. We’re really excited about this, and we know our partners will be too. It’s a win-win-win for our customers, our partners, and Dell.

Today, the Indian government is pushing for local manufacturing in various segments – including IT and electronics. This push is happening like never before. How do you think this can help the local channel ecosystem here?

We are aware of the new regulations. Dell has been manufacturing in India for 15 years and we continue to work with the Indian Government on our plan.

Dell is surely one of the biggest IT brands in the world and has already got big operations in India – including manufacturing capacity. What will be your strategy to take your manufacturing capability another notch up? | Is Dell going to explore additional manufacturing locations in India. If yes, then what will be your criteria for selection? | Dell already manufactures its products in India, but is there any timeline that Dell has for establishing renewed focus towards India manufacturing? And what are some of the new products that we can expect from India?

Dell already has manufacturing in India, and we have been here for more than a decade. We recently participated in Production Linked Incentive (PLI) and have expanded our notebook production in India.

In fact, Dell Technologies is the only global IT company to be a part of this scheme and we have successfully delivered against the PLI 1.0 year 1 targets. Many of our products qualify under the Preference to Make in India program (PPP-MII).
