Garmin Strengthens its Retail Presence in India

Garmin India, a unit of Garmin Ltd., has launched its second brand store in Bengaluru, which is in line with Garmin’s retail footprint expansion plan and enhanced connectivity in the Indian market.

The new experiential store aims to meet the surge in consumer demand by allowing customers to easily experience and purchase Garmin products and services. The store, which spans across 255 Sqft, will provide all fitness enthusiasts an immersive & enhanced shopping experience. The launch happened in the presence of Yeshudas Pillai, Country Head, Garmin India and Rajesh Lunkad, Store Owner.

To create excitement and strengthen its connect with fitness enthusiasts, Garmin organized a 3 km long GRC (Garmin Run Club) Run on the day of the launch led by GRC Coach- Pramod Deshpande. GRC coach also taught participants about the importance of Off-season for a runner. The GRC community activity was conducted at the newly launched Garmin Brand Store in Indiranagar and saw strong participation of over 60 people from across the city.

In addition to this, the first 50 customers at the store will receive a goodie bag containing a Garmin T-shirt and a 10% discount coupon for their next purchase at Garmin Brand Store, Indiranagar, Bengaluru. Garmin India also rolled out exciting deals by offering a special inaugural discount of 10% on select products like- Approach S62, Approach S12, Epix Gen2, Venu2, Venu2Plus, Vivomove Sport, Lily, Edge 830&530, Edge 1040 Solar, Fenix 7& 7X, Forerunner 955, Forerunner 255, Forerunner 55, Instinct 2&2S starting 11th Feb to 25th Feb at Garmin Brand Store, Indiranagar, Bengaluru.

Commenting on the new store launch, Yeshudas Pillai, Country Head, Garmin India said, “As the smart wearables market witnessed tremendous growth in the year 2022, our vision is to expand deeper into the Indian market. We saw an exponential YOY growth of 62.6% as per Garmin connect data in activity trend in Bengaluru last year compared to 2021 which includes running, walking, cycling, among top activities. Considering this, we wanted to strengthen our retail presence with the launch of second brand store in Bengaluru, with an aim to further provide a holistic product experience for our consumers and allow them to engage with Garmin’s superior technology and performance-based smartwatches.”

The new store will house the entire gamut of Garmin smartwatches across categories like Fitness, Outdoor, and Wellness, including products such as the newly launched Instinct Crossover, Fenix/Epix series, Forerunner 955/255, Venu SQ2, and many more for the consumers to pick their ideal fit. The brand experts will also be available at the store to assist customers with product features and selection.

Garmin has taken another key step towards strengthening its retail identity across the country by launching a brand store in the heart of India’s cosmopolitan city- No 777/D, 100 feet road, HAL 2nd stage, Indiranagar, Bengaluru. With this launch, Garmin’s total brand stores in Bengaluru becomes 2 and in India it increases to 4, out of which the other two stores are currently present in Pune and Delhi NCR. Garmin India also drives its sales through offline channel partners like Helios Watch Store, Just in Time, Croma and other key cycling, sports stores and E-Commerce partners like Amazon, Flipkart, Tata Luxury, Tata Cliq, Nykaa, Bhawar.com and Synergizer.com
