NetApp Updates BlueXP Offerings

NetApp, a global cloud-first, data-centric software company, has announced that the company NetApp BlueXP introduces new features that further strengthen NetApp’s leadership in secure data storage.

In the current technological environment, the value of data is becoming more and more precious, and it is also more and more fragile. Data powers operations, drives innovation, and creates great customer experiences. But the growing impact of cyber threats, such as ransomware attacks and potential data loss or corruption, can have disastrous consequences.

Today’s data infrastructures often span on-premises environments and multiple clouds, adding to the complexity of data protection, security and compliance efforts. These problems are compounded by skills gaps and budget constraints.

Enterprises need to further simplify data management and improve security to manage their data assets and prevent catastrophic loss. The new functions provided by BlueXP rely on the company’s powerful and unified experience to provide rich data service capabilities, which can discover, manage and protect data across multiple cloud infrastructures, and use artificial intelligence/machine learning operations to optimize business outcomes.

New feature updates and innovations include simplified backup and recovery, data protection across multiple environments, deployment in high-security environments such as government websites, and consistent operations to ensure all applications across various platforms can have the same experience.

Ronen Schwartz, senior vice president and general manager of NetApp’s cloud storage business, said: “BlueXP provides truly best-in-class capabilities that enable users to take a differentiated approach to the challenges of hybrid multicloud environments. We are committed to continuing to support artificial intelligence in a broader way. Operations, driving the simplification of complex storage and data management operations while enhancing the cyber resiliency customers achieve with BlueXP. This approach has supported the world’s most security-demanding government environments, but also mirrors the requirements of our commercial customers in modern data environments It’s getting stricter.”

New NetApp BlueXP features include:

Unify data protection policies across systems, locations and workloads with a single point of control:
BlueXP backup and restore capabilities now provide a single control plane, simplifying the process of customizing backup strategies on a workload-by-workload basis. Regardless of the environment, any variation of the 3-2-1 comprehensive backup strategy can be easily applied and deployed as workloads require, eliminating the need for multiple tools and specially trained personnel.

BlueXP backup and restore capabilities are now extended to a wider range of workloads, supporting the use of NetApp software-defined storage solutions or hyperscale native storage solutions to achieve application-unified database deployments, such as deploying Oracle databases on Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP.

Deployment in high-security environments:

With the new BlueXP private and restricted deployment modes, BlueXP and related storage and data services can be deployed in security-critical and compliance-sensitive environments, including government clouds; even implementations that require complete isolation of Internet connections The “Dark Site”.

Cloud Insights Federated Edition can now be deployed to environments and workloads that require FedRAMP high-impact protection.

Cloud Volumes ONTAP (CVO) is now available in the AWS Marketplace for the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC), a marketplace dedicated to supporting the unique needs of the U.S. Intelligence Community with better security, higher mission impact and good cost saving advantage.

NetApp BlueXP A way to centrally manage NetApp ONTAP, NetApp’s industry-leading data management software for cloud and on-premises environments. BlueXP’s announcement today includes more than a dozen feature updates and innovations.
