BenQ India Unveils WiT ScreenBar LED Desk Lamp

BenQ, a global innovator of display technologies announced the launch of WiT ScreenBar, World’s First Intelligent LED Desk Lamp. WiT ScreenBar solely illuminates the 70cm x 40cm desk area in front of the monitor and assures zero reflected glare off the screen without the use of a space-consuming lamp base, utilising the patented clip and asymmetrical optical design.

Its asymmetrical design allows it to fit perfectly atop almost any display, where it delivers ambient light directly above the monitor, reducing eye strain and discomfort. The built-in ambient light sensor detects ambient light and automatically supplements the desk space to the international standard of 500 Lux.

“Remote working and distant learning have grown increasingly prevalent as a result of the ongoing pandemic, resulting in a rise in the amount of screen time we are all exposed to, said Rajeev Singh, Managing Director, BenQ India & South Asia. “In India, BenQ’s core areas are entirely centred on display technology, and we are dedicated to revolutionising the power of comprehending and consuming visual communication for the Indian audience. As a company that focuses on immersing the viewer with the world of Visuality, WiT ScreenBar is designed to protect users’ eyes while using their computers for prolonged periods of time.”

It has an adjustable colour temperature (2700-6500K) to improve efficiency and comfort, and it complies with the ANSI White 8 quadrangles colour temperature standard. USB power supply for a broader range of power outlets. When activated, WiT ScreenBar resets the most recently used brightness and colour temperature settings and has a performance life of 50,000 hours.

It is made of polycarbonate and sandblasted anodized aluminium alloy in a minimalist design for a clean form and high quality. The materials meet RoHS (2002/95/EC) requirements and are devoid of hazardous heavy metals (e.g. lead, cadmium, and mercury).

It has a simple touch control design that responds to a light touch to switch on/off, a longer touch to change the brightness and colour temperature, and a light touch to activate the Auto Dimmer Mode. Quality LED light sources for improved eye care: passed the flicker and blue-light danger evaluations of the IEEE PAR1789 and IEC/TR 62778, and are thus designated as risk-free light sources.

The robust device, which comes with a one-year carry-in warranty, is offered in two variations, WiT Screenbar and WiT Screenbar Plus, and is exclusively available on Amazon at Best Buy prices of INR 9,990.00 and INR 12,990.00, respectively. The WiT Screnbar Plus features a dial to adjust the brightness and temperature, whereas the WiT Screenbar includes touch buttons.
