OnePlus TV gets a new update, expands suite of content partners

OnePlus, the global technology brand, will be rolling out a new update for the OnePlus TV. In its effort to provide a holistic, seamless and integrated entertainment experience for users, the new update includes popular content players Spotify, JioSaavn, Voot, ShemarooMe, alt Balaji and MX Player.

The music and content streaming apps will come pre-installed for new users and the OTA update will be made available for existing and new users on the OnePlus TV 55 Q1 and OnePlus TV 55 Q1 Pro.

To enhance the personal experience, the latest OTA update also enables Bluetooth connectivity with earphones. Now users can watch/listen, any time with their earphones.

OnePlus entered the TV industry with the same “Never Settle” mindset it brought to the smartphone industry almost six years ago, when it released its first devices in 2014. Now, the company is all set to redefine the role of the TV at home through a seamless integration between the smartphone and TV.

The OnePlus TV is the company’s first step into the connected-home market, bringing seamless and intelligent interactions with immersive content consumption into the centre of the home. The OnePlus TVs also support Netflix, Hungama, Eros, and Zee5 for, which have deep-integration into the OnePlus Play dashboard. Other content partners include Amazon Prime Video, Hotstar, SonyLiv and YouTube.

Users can experience the new OnePlus TV at the OnePlus Experience Stores in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, and Pune. The OnePlus TV starts at INR 69,900 and is currently available for purchase on Amazon.in and across 100+ offline outlets of Reliance Digital across the top 12 cities in India. The latest OTA update to the OnePlus TV brings a host of new features and fixes. With the addition of new content partners, users will also receive a 3-month subscription to JioSaavn.
