US based OWC Digital, a zero emissions Mac and PC technology company, has forayed into the Indian market and announced its operations in India.
OWC began its journey in 1988 and today employs more than 220 people with facilities in Woodstock, Illinois; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Austin, Texas. For over 28 years, OWC’s commitment to innovation has consistently delivered a unique approach to upgrade solutions, professional storage, and high performance memory that enable Apple computers to go further.
Speaking on the Company’s foray in the Indian market, Larry O’Connor, Founder and CEO, OWC said, “India is poised for exponential growth in the years to come and with its ambitious programs like Make in India and Digital India, we see there is a huge opportunity for us to work closely with partners here and contribute to the country’s economy and customers, by our path breaking technological upgrades and solutions. OWC has long been recognized worldwide for creating upgrades for Apple computers and has an innovative range of products for India’s Macintosh users. Creating solutions for real user needs that have otherwise gone unaddressed. The Company will eventually be addressing PC users as well with its technological upgrades and offerings.

He further stated that the company would invest extensively in the India market in terms of setting up offices, mapping regional requirements and addressing local customer service.

OWC APAC Private Limited – a 100% subsidiary of OWC – will work closely with Mac enthusiasts as well as Mac communities. A large portion of its business will come from providing needed memory and storage solutions to Bollywood and other regional film/digital production studios. The company plans to reach out to the end users by using various platforms with OWC products and services, while maintaining strong channel eco systems.
OWC will be introducing its SSD lineup for MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, & Mac Pro. The Company is a pioneer in the PCIe SSDs for MacBook pro, MacBook Air 2013 & later series, & unique when it comes to Internal & External storage upgrade solutions as well.
OWC Envoy Pro mini is uniquely designed with USB 3.0 connectivity. Other products, which have Thunderbolt platform connectivity, USB-C Dock connectivity and Thunderbolt 2 RAID Storage products are already scheduled to be launched in India very soon.
