Oracle EPM Cloud helps higher education institutions better align budget dollars with organizational priorities to achieve academic and financial goals. A public research university located in San Francisco, California, San Francisco State University (SFSU) offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees to nearly 30,000 students. SFSU has been live on Oracle ERP Cloud and Oracle HCM Cloud for a number of years and wanted to perform advanced planning and analytics for multiple systems. They selected EPM to help them with reporting on their budget, particularly budgeting for headcount planning for future positions.

Established in 1986 in Portsmouth, Ohio, Shawnee State University is a public university with approximately 3,600 students. As the state now allocates funding to Shawnee State based on performance and graduation rates, it needed to quickly revamp its business processes to become more cost efficient with tuition dollars.
