This comes with a lot of port power – two of the Targus dock’s USB ports provide extra power to charge battery-powered devices, whether the computer is docked or not. Most importantly, other ports on the dock include gigabit ethernet connectivity, and it even has an audio in and out port which could be quite useful and user wont have to unplug headphones every time the laptop is taken into a meeting situation.
While reviewing the product, we also found that the dock is equipped with DisplayLink technology, so it can drive two outboard displays. This Targus dock can support even more monitors if a user plugs additional DisplayLink adapters into its USB 3.0 ports (the dock’s software supports a maximum of six external displays when connected to a PC running Windows).

This is a very special dock as it is fully quipped with support to provide power which means that this has the ability to provide electrical power to a 19.5-volt DC laptop or Windows 8 tablet using a proprietary stub cable.
The Targus USB 3.0 SuperSpeed Dual Video Docking Station offers dual video ports that deliver beyond HD video and graphics up to 2048 x 1152 (1x DVI-I, 1x HDMI) to two monitors.
In addition, it includes a DVI to VGA adapter, 1 HDMI to DVI adapter, 2 USB 3.0 ports for your USB 3.0 peripherals and 4 USB 2.0 ports for all of your USB 2.0 items.
The docking station also features integrated universal laptop charging (patent pending) that is compatible with most 90W PC laptops. The universal power tips are conveniently stored inside the dock for quick and easy access.
Also included are a Gigabit Ethernet port, audio In/Out ports to connect speakers and a security lock slot to help secure the dock and avoid theft.
