TCL Strengthens AI, IoT Roadmap with Smart Living Innovations at IFA 2020

TCL Electronics, one of the players in the global TV industry and a consumer electronics company who early this year launched an assortment of QLED TVs with a mission to make life Intelligent, has arrived at IFA 2020 debuting the AiPQEngine Gen2, TCL’s newest intelligent advancement in audiovisual optimization.

TCL’s continuous endeavor in forwarding QLED and Mini-LED technologyhas also been showcased in part with the latest global TCL QLED 4K/8K TV lineups. Furthermore, TCL has reasserted its commitment to AIxIoT strategy with smart connected multi-category product launches ranging from soundbars, mobile devices, air conditioners and other major domestic appliances.

Global Marketing Performance

With consumers at the heart of all things,TCL has enjoyed strong growth in the early 2020. Despite unsettled economies, TCL has maintained impressive TV sales figures worldwide. In Q1 2020 alone, 4.27 million TCL branded TVs were sold with TCL QLED TV sales increasing 217.1% YoY.

In US retail market share, TCL brand TV ranked No.2 in Q1 2020[3]. In Australian market, TCL ranked No.1 in March [4]. In terms of the expanding global emerging market, TCLTV sales wereup by 14.3% Q1 YoY.

In Europe, TCL has also enjoyed sale volume increase from Italy of 16%,Germany 15%, Czech 100%, Poland 38%, UK 100%, and in France we reinforced our ranking as No. 3 in terms of market share .Over the years, TCL has continued to innovate display technology. As the entrance to the big screen connection, TV display innovation is always the top priority.

Display Advancements

Driven by machine-learning algorithms matched with vast knowledge in human visual perception, TCL’s AiPQ Engine Gen2 switches on the full potential of TCL’s big screen TVs with real-time audiovisual optimization according to various entertainment content genres and ambient watching environments. The advanced technology also allows global customization of the audiovisual performance for the unique applications of individual regions.

For over 10 years, TCL has invested billions of USD in display panel production facilities for TVs, mastering LCD, OLED, foldable OLED, Mini-LED, QLED technologies. TCL’s latest investment into Mini-LED display technology guarantees more flexible designs available with more lighting zones for stunning contrast performance. Meanwhile, TCL democratizes QLED display technology to more TV models, available to wider ranges of consumers around the world. This year, TCL has taken a step further and formed business alliance with JOLED Inc. to jointly-develop inkjet OLED printing technology.

Multi-Category Products

Under the ongoing AIxIoT strategy, TCL has launched a full category product lineup to IFA2020. As a large screen gateway to smartly connected homes, TCL showcased its 2020 QLED TV lineups, such as IMAX Enhanced and 8K Association certified X915 and EISA Award winner C815.

As for premium audio offerings, TCL presented at this IFA, theIF and EISA Award winner TCL TS9030 Dolby Atmos Ray·Danz soundbar and the TS8111 soundbar to further strengthen TCL’s audio lineup.

To push the boundary of intelligent lifestyle, TCL has also launched an assortment of global smart MDA products, such as air conditioner Ocarina and T-Smart,portable air conditioner models; washing machine X Series,P series, CSeries refrigerator.
