Redington Limited has announced the signing of a five-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS) India, one of the largest SCAs in the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region to date. The collaboration comes at a time when organizations across India and the APJ region are accelerating cloud migration and exploring generative AI to modernize applications, improve operational efficiency, and build new digital services.
This agreement represents a pivotal milestone in Redington’s transformation journey, from a traditional distribution-led organization to an orchestrator of technology ecosystems delivering integrated cloud, managed services, ISV, AI and complementary solutions. Built on a shared ambition with AWS, the collaboration is structured to unlock the next phase of growth for customers, partners, and the broader ecosystem. This partnership focuses on advancing Redington’s downstream partner capabilities and expanding generative AI offerings.
Through this SCA, Redington will expand its role across the cloud value chain, driving enterprise transformation, accelerating Greenfield (startup/SMBs) adoption, and deepening public sector engagement. AWS will support this evolution through targeted investments, technical expertise, enablement programs, and aligned go-to-market initiatives. Together, the two organizations aim to create a scalable and repeatable services motion across India and APJ, designed to deliver measurable business outcomes while strengthening partner capabilities.
“This Strategic Collaboration Agreement with AWS represents a defining step in Redington’s transformation journey. As we strengthen our capabilities across cloud, platforms, and AI ecosystem solutions, our priority is to build scalable capabilities that deliver measurable outcomes across enterprise, startup, and public sector segments,” said Sridhar S., Executive Vice President, SSG, Redington Limited. “By combining AWS’s cloud innovation and technical depth with Redington’s ecosystem reach and execution strength, we are establishing structured pathways for generative AI adoption, modernization, and partner capability development. This collaboration positions us to drive sustainable growth while strengthening operational efficiency across our ecosystem.”
A key pillar of the agreement is the establishment of a Generative AI Customer Experience Center, designed to serve two key audiences – business leaders will be able to explore production-ready use cases through hands-on demos and ROI-led consultations. Developers will access an AI-powered integrated development environment built on Amazon Bedrock and Kiro for faster prototyping and innovation. In parallel, Redington will accelerate Greenfield expansion across Startup and SMB segments, targeting structured conversions to drive sustained AWS adoption.
“At AWS, our partners are central to how we help customers innovate and grow. Redington has been a trusted partner in expanding cloud adoption across India and the broader Asia Pacific and Japan region, and this SCA reflects the depth of that relationship. Together, we will work to strengthen partner capabilities, accelerate generative AI adoption, and help organizations of all sizes — from enterprises to startups and public sector institutions — build, modernize, and scale on AWS,” said Praveen Sridhar, Head of Partner Business, AWS India and South Asia.
To strengthen execution capabilities, Redington will set up a dedicated Migration and Modernization Center of Excellence (CoE) to accelerate cloud adoption in the AWS Asia Pacific (Hyderabad) Region with expansion into Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets across India. The CoE will also drive VMware modernization by leveraging Redington’s established VMware partner ecosystem enabling optimized, cloud-aligned architectures.
A formal APN Partner Tier Progression program will create a repeatable pathway for downstream partners to advance through AWS Partner Network tiers – intended to unlock incremental revenue opportunities across the ecosystem. Redington will also accelerate Public Sector engagement through a dedicated team. Additionally, the partnership will broaden AWS Marketplace adoption across India, supporting simplified procurement and scalable cloud consumption models.
