Sometimes what seems too good to be true really is. This is precisely the case of the Klarrio tutorrio program.
According to Kurt Jonckheer, President and CEO, Klarrio started tutorrio because it believes it’s time to level the playing field for all data engineers, regardless of background or financial situation.
Data engineers have been on the list of most wanted profiles in the IT industry for many years. This industry is set to grow exponentially over the next five years, and schools are simply not able to bring enough data engineers to market, whose skills and knowledge match the industry’s demand. This means that the need for qualified data engineers will likely outstrip the schools’ supply for many years to come.
“Many people want to study data engineering; very often however, they either do not have the means or they do not have access to the practical training they need to develop their skills”, underlined Bram Stes, principal trainer of tutorrio. “As of today, our goal is to fix it.”
Throughout the course, students will forge a solid foundation in software engineering, thanks to a unique combination of on-site courses taught by Klarrio experts, self-study, group assessments, and certified training.
The program begins by introducing candidates to fundamental skills in computer science, computer systems, software design and programming, computer networks, and data processing. Then, the training continues in the areas of data-intensive computing, and data structure, to finally address the design and development of data-intensive applications.
What differentiates tutorrio from other offerings is Klarrio’s reliance on open source technology, while addressing cloud economics and ethical data considerations. The program provides ample opportunities for play and experimentation that facilitate the acquisition of advanced skills, thereby strengthening learners’ ability to succeed.
Jonckheer said: “Our main objective is to immerse talented candidates in the general concepts of data engineering, as well as to teach them how to select the right solutions, at the right time, and to optimal way to sustain their careers.”
