Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced that Nice Brazil, an Italian multinational specializing in home and business security and automation, has deployed a robust, highly manageable and secure wireless network architecture from HPE Aruba Networking across 20,000m2 of its new sustainable factory in Limeira (SP), Brazil.
The new cloud-managed network optimizes production across various product lines by enabling IoT devices to collect data for performance monitoring, data analysis and decision-making for both the R&D sector and on-site testing for its automation products.
“This project is a milestone for the entire Nice Group around the world with an innovative network architecture from HPE Aruba Networking at our new headquarters,” said Carlos Pereira, IT Manager, Nice Brazil. “We immediately noticed an increase in network speed from the improved performance of the new switches and the new network allows us to take advantage of IoT. Today we are using IoT to develop and test our audio and video solutions on-site, automating our buildings and thus driving further efficiencies in the future.”
“The new network has supported the company’s adoption of hybrid work practices with improved stability and faster connection speed with the network now supporting over 650 simultaneous connections,” added Luiz Reis, Network Admin, Nice Brazil, in charge of the implementation and operation of the new framework. “The company also offers a free-to-use portal for all visitors, employees, and service providers, who can enjoy the network without impacting the critical business operations.”
Both the Wi-Fi 6 and the wired network are managed in the cloud using HPE Aruba Networking Central, which delivers 24/7 monitoring, pinpoints the state of the connection via AI-generated insights and unifies branch network, remote office, campus, data center, and IoT management with workflow automation and edge-to-cloud security. This enables the IT team to save time and trouble-shoot problems more quickly.
The wired network was built on HPE Aruba Networking CX 6300 switches from the data center core to the campus access. All solutions offer a five-year next business day support. The wireless network is powered by 30 HPE Aruba Networking AP-515 access points, which delivers high-performance access to mobile and IoT devices, efficiently and simultaneously serving multiple clients and traffic types in dense environments. In addition, the AP-515 access points increase data transmission speeds for individual devices and the system in general.
Network Consult, HPE Aruba Networking’s partner company that carried out the implementation, made the same switches on the corporate network available to Nice Brazil’s industrial wired network to ensure secure and segmented data delivery.
“It is important to highlight that this allowed us to greatly reduce the separate infrastructure for the industrial network,” explained Isac Sartori Gomes, Network Engineer at Network Consult. “The current HPE Aruba Networking solution serves both production and office work and AI insights for the wired and wireless network enable continuous improvement of the environment.”
“Our goal was to provide Nice Brazil with an infrastructure that would support the expansion and growth of the brand in the country and the new reality of hybrid work,” said Antenor Nogara, Country Manager of HPE Aruba Networking, Brazil. “Together with our partner Network Consult, we have designed a very robust, highly manageable secure architecture for Nice Brazil to simplify the network and its operation to allow them to drive further efficiencies across their business. We have demonstrated to the customer our innovation and capabilities and have created an international success case for their business.”
