Karnataka’s premier IT summit, Bangalore ITE.biz, steps into its 18th edition this year has taken off today at the Lalit Ashok, Bangalore.
Organized by the Department of IT, BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka, along with STPI-Bangalore, Bangalore ITE.biz will take place from December 8-10, 2015. The event was inaugurated by Shri Siddaramaiah honorable Chief Minister of Karnataka.
Driven by disruptive technologies, exciting new policy reform in the works in many states and the central government’s redoubled emphasis on ‘Make in India’, the country is entering an exciting phase in digital connectedness, electronics design, and manufacturing.
The IT and Electronics sectors are set to be the next growth drivers and, quite understandably, BangaloreITE.biz, the leading knowledge and thought leadership forum in India, is witnessing renewed excitement this year from IT and electronics majors across the board. The attendees include policy makers, IT Majors, MSMEs, startups, Research and academia. More than 100+ Domain Experts are addressing this conference, created together with leading National Industry Associations including NASSCOM, IESA, MAIT and ABAI. More than 1,000 delegates, representing the crème de la crème of the IT and electronics world, have already registered to attend the conference.

Former Secretary, IT & Telecommunications, Government of India, Shri Kris Gopalakrishnan, Co-Founder, Infosys Ltd & Chairman, Karnataka’s Vision Group on Information Technology, Ms. Vanitha Narayanan, Managing Director, IBM India Pvt. Ltd. , Ms. V. Manjula, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of IT, BT and S&T Government of Karnataka, Dr. Omkar Rai, Director General, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) are set to address the participants.

Focus of Start-Ups
The event this has strong focus on Start-Ups across the event with one half program of conference covering the panel discussion through leaders conclave with panel discussion on Building Innovation and Start-Up Culture through Pro –Active Policies. The exhibition has over 45 start-Ups in showcase including 15+ Start-Ups from NASSCOM 10K Start-Ups along with STPI Pavilion consisting of 20+ Star-Ups.
The other section of conference would cover the Smart City Solutions Wokshop covering wide spectrum of Connected Cities, e-Governance, Technology for Inclusive Development, Geospatial Solutions in Smart Cities, Urban Transport / Intelligent Traffic and many more.
In a first-of-its-kind move, the leadership conclave on the first day will witness the leaders from states of India coming together to discuss policy formulation with a view to accelerate the startup ecosystem in India. The discussion will also center on the creation and maintenance of sustainable smart cities.
