Commvault Unveils Research and Innovation Centre in Bangalore to Fuel Development of Next Gen Data Platform

Looking forward to extend innovative development on next generation ready data platform – Commvault, a global provider of data protection and information management, has opened its new research and development centre in Bangalore.

The facility – which is situated in the heart of technology innovation in India, Bagmane Tech Park, CV Raman Nagar – accommodates more than 200 employees, and together with existing facilities in New Jersey and Hyderabad, plays a critical role in accelerating the development of its recently launched next generation solutions portfolio, including the Commvault Data Platform. Engineers will focus on further enhancing the platform’s promise of a truly open, searchable and automated way for organizations to manage their information and remove risk in their adoption of new technologies.

The decision to replace the existing smaller facility and upgrade to a more expansive and collaborative environment, comes in response to the organization’s priority to support a truly global product roadmap for customers worldwide. It is staffed with engineers who work closely with sales, professional services, support and marketing professionals to align innovation closely with customer and market needs.

“Our industry leadership is underpinned not only by our exceptional customer satisfaction figures, which far exceed global industry standards, but our investment in innovation which is critical to our ability to adapt to the market,” said Ramesh Mamgain, Area Vice President for India and SAARC at Commvault. “Upgrading our facility in India helps us provide a genuinely global approach to ensuring our platform continues to support the regional needs of customers in India and SAARC, ASEAN, China, Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. We are looking forward to tapping into the exceptional talent pool that exists in Bangalore, further enhancing our expertise in areas of virtualization, storage, web technologies, system programming and networking domains.”

This is the second development centre the information management company has in India after setting up a facility in Hyderabad 10 years ago.
