Close on the heels of establishing its operations in India, F-Secure, a Finland based online security and privacy focused organization is looking forward to ramp up its channel partner engagement and grow in India.
“India is a very important market for us and channel partners are going to play a very important role for scripting our success here. We have already appointed a national distributor in the form of Global Infonet and we are working with 272 channel partners today. We plan to increase this figure to 500 channel partners by the end of this year,” informed, Amit Nath, Country Head, India, F-Secure Private Limited.
Emphasis on Security as a Service
While putting its effort to create a niche for itself, F-Secure is going to focus towards providing Security as a Service for the enterprise community in India.
“We want to give this unique proposition in front of the enterprise community wherein they can look at having enterprise class security in an OpEx model rather than settling in for a CapEx model where they have to invest big amounts. This is going to be a big focus for us in India,” he explained.
The company has also released its Threat report where India has ranked 4th in the world in terms of Mobile Malware.

In the PC malware landscape, age old infections like Trojan.LNK and Conficker and still the highest. As per our research, top 5 most infected Indian cities are Chandigarh, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai and New Delhi. Furthermore, India ranks, 4th in the world in Mobile Malware.”
