Turkey’s top manufacturer chooses HPE GreenLake cloud platform to drive business growth and bring agility, reliability, and flexibility to its IT environment with on-premises as-a-service solution.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced that Norm Holding, Turkey’s top manufacturing company, has selected HPE to support its ambitious production growth strategy with a scalable, flexible IT solution delivered entirely as a service through the HPE GreenLake edge to cloud platform. The new, modernized IT environment enables Norm Holding to respond more easily to changing customer requirements and fluctuating levels of demand and is helping the company to deliver superior product quality and meet the most demanding customer expectations.

Norm Holding is ranked among ‘Turkey’s Top 500 Enterprises’ and serves major automotive, electrical goods, machinery and construction manufacturers for both the domestic and global markets. In the past decade, the company has quadrupled its production, becoming one of the top ten manufacturers with one of the fastest production growth rates in Turkey.
Norm Holding needed to invest in a more reliable, scalable modern IT infrastructure to support this business expansion and meet the rapid increase in demand for its products. Additionally, Norm Holding needed to free up its operational resources that were currently overloaded by the demands of supporting an old IT environment and wanted to focus these resources instead on innovation and development projects.
Norm Holding chose the HPE GreenLake cloud platform due to its true hybrid cloud capabilities that allow Norm Holding to transform its existing on-premises workloads, deliver a flexible, secure new cloud environment, and manage its multi-cloud workloads from the HPE GreenLake Central platform. Norm Holding can now quickly and efficiently scale up its production resources and expand to new markets and industries and yet avoid costly over-provisioning of IT capacity as it only pays for what it consumes. HPE GreenLake also allows Norm Holding to get access to expert HPE IT support, therefore freeing up its own staff, enabling it to focus on innovation.
“The HPE GreenLake cloud platform allows us to seamlessly scale our production and increase efficiency of our operations. These outcomes enable us to provide better service to our customers. We can move faster, get capacity when we need it, easily manage performance, monitor security, and free up staff for more important business initiatives,” said Gokcen Gunay, System & Network Manager at Norm Holding.
The end-to-end solution was designed and implemented by HPE Pointnext Technology Services and was built from the ground up to meet Norm Holding’s specific requirements and its customers’ needs. HPE GreenLake powers business critical applications, such as SAP HANA, virtualized workloads and all backup services. The solution is based on HPE SimpliVity 380 Gen10 and HPE StoreOnce and is managed via HPE OneView.
“In today’s digital economy, technological advancement is imperative for businesses to stay competitive in their market. Many companies are looking to take advantage of the cloud but have applications and workloads that they prefer to keep on-premises,” said Gungor Kaymak, Managing Director at Hewlett Packard Enterprise Turkey. “The HPE GreenLake edge to cloud platform delivers on this requirement and gives our customers an as-a-service solution that will help them get to market faster, innovate without constraints, simplify operations, and keep control over costs, performance and security.”
