Ravi Raj Brand Head, Director Sales & Support at NETRACK speaks with Zia Askari from ChannelDrive.in about the company’s strategy to expand in the Middle East and how it is looking at expanding its channel base in India.
What is your rationale behind expanding business to Middle East market?
We view new markets as a significant growth area. Thus, we have entered ME market and partnered with MBAL for distributing our wide range of products. The primary focus of this partnership will be on meeting the increasing demand of products like Data Center Racks, network racks, server racks, PDUs and rack security solution. With the help of MBAL we will drive the expansion of business in the ME market. We are constantly making efforts to align our products with these rising demands.
What are the key markets (verticals) NETRACK’s strives to address in India as well as Europe? Which vertical had a hold leadership in previous years?
This year, the Indian economy is expected to grow at a healthy pace where data centers are looking to adopt measures like efficient cooling, power management and to increase their overall efficiency. At the same time they also want to decrease the power bill in an environment friendly and cost effective manner.
With this, we see lot of opportunities coming from verticals like IT/ITeS, BFSI, Engineering Labs, hospitality, hospital sectors and government. Over the years, NETRACK has addressed these verticals and will continue to focus on these verticals.
Please let us more about NETRACK’s recently launched iRack series, their features and benefits?
We recently came up with the iRack Series especially designed to help IT administrators. The iRack has been designed and configured as a self-cooled, self-powered and self- contained rack with minimal cold air losses and thermal short circuit to save energy.
The trend to have Intelligent Infra Capsules in premises like banking, insurance, manufacturing, educational sectors motivated us to manufacture the iRack Series. The product comes with unique features like intelligent PDU, camera surveillance, intelligent locking, smart cooling and UPS all integrated in one rack. It enables IT managers to maximize efficiency, space availability and to accommodate their evolving business requirements.
Please throw some light on your recent partnership with Silentium in building Active Silent Racks?
Energy consumption and noise pollution have been increasing over time and is among the top challenges faced by the IT industry. As we know, very high levels of noise can cause stress and stimulate unnecessary aggression at the workplace. We have incorporated Silentium’s noise reduction solutions within cabinets.
These will not only reduce the noise levels but will also help minimize energy usage and extend the life and well-being of IT equipment. We will work together to eliminate noise pollution and deliver world class products with increased efficiency and energy consumption.

What is NETRACK’s localization strategy for the regional markets?
We are keen on expanding our business and building a strong partner base and channel network in remote cities across the country. Since upcountry markets are also playing a big role in facilitating the growth, we will make sure we reach out to these markets by doing road shows and other marketing activities. Even last year, we had managed to capture a good market share.
