What are the key priorities for CommunicAsia for this year?

Every year our priority is to stage the top industry event in Asia where the latest in ICT tech and enterprise innovation impacting governments, cities, enterprises and lifestyles are showcased. CommunicAsia has for many years now been the industry’s event of choice where Asia’s ICT industry showcases the best they have to offer, and where current and future trends are discussed and debated. It is a meeting ground for not just ICT industry professionals but also governments, and key decision makers from various industries all across over Asia.

What is going to be the big theme for year 2015?

This year’s CommunicAsia will continue to have a large focus on mobility and connectivity in today’s increasingly hyper-connected world. Three thematic clusters – NXT Cities, NXT Enterprises and NXT Connected Lifestyle, will showcase how innovations such as IoT, cloud, OTT, big data and applications among many other ‘smart’ technologies and solutions, have and will continue to impact cities, public and private sectors, and consumers.

How has been the industry response so far? What are some of the expectations that you have especially from the reseller and the solution provider community?

Overall, we have received great response from the industry, with numerous companies taking part for the first time, and many exciting product lunches at the show. New Exhibitors include Advantech Co., Centron Communications, Skynapse and ViewQuest among others, while returning anchor exhibitors comprises Appear TV, Dell, Enersys, FiberHome, Huawei, Leyard, PCCW Global, Prysmian and ST Electronics.

Among the international group pavilions, new participants from China, Korea and Norway, will be showcasing their respective ICT capabilities.

Every year we put together an event that showcases solutions that span the entire ICT ecosystem, this includes a good mix of both resellers who carry multiple brands, and solutions providers. Exhibitors and visitors a like recognise that CommnicAsia stands at the forefront of tech innovation and we are committed to maintain that standard for years to come.

How do you look at participation from a country like India from a solution provider perspective?

India is a very important market for CommunicAsia. Its prominent standing, and high-level capabilities in ICT solutions in the global arena is certainly a great value proposition for CommunicAsia.

Through the years, we have established great rapport and have consistently received strong participation from India. This year, the international group pavilion from India led by the Telecom Equipment & Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC) is expecting 25 participating companies, among them solution providers include Juno Tele, Finoit Technologies, Intense Technologies, Lukup Technologies and Neosoft. In addition, individual companies such as Tata Communications will also be exhibiting.

Why can CommunicAsia be of importance to companies in India?

For participating companies, CommunicAsia is where Asia’s ICT professionals gather every year to check out the latest in tech innovation and enterprise solutions. In 2014, CommunicAsia held concurrently with BroadcastAsia had more than 50,000 attendees from all over the world, and this includes c-level executives and high-level decision makers. This presents great exposure for our Indian exhibitors to showcase their solutions and capabilities to a large, highly relevant and engaged audience. It is also a good opportunity for executives to expand their global networks and foster meaningful relationships.

What are some of the big advantages that this event brings to the table for the channel partner community?

One of CommunicAsia’s biggest strengths is the convergence of the whole ICT ecosystem under one roof, and channel partners including resellers, system integrators and distributors among others make up the lion’s share of exhibitors. They represent the whole value chain for major tech solutions most relevant to today’s enterprises including cloud, big data, mobile, IoT and broadband. CommunicAisa therefore provides the ideal business platform for channel partners to grow their business in the industries across Asia
