Schneider Electric reveals finalists of its Go Green competition

Schneider Electric, a global enabler in digital transformation serving energy management and automation, announces the finalists for the Schneider Go Green Contest , an annual competition that invites students from around the world to share their ideas for innovation that can make the world cleaner, more inclusive and more sustainable.

Launched in 2011 by Schneider Electric, and organized for the second year in partnership with the industrial software publisher AVEVA, the competition has grown rapidly over the past 12 years. In 2022 alone, more than 22,200 students from 200 countries registered for the event, and more than 3,700 innovative ideas were accepted in one of the competition’s five categories: access to energy, houses of the future , future global supply chain, future networks, decoding the future.

Eight finalist teams have been selected. They are composed of a maximum of four members and each represents a region of the world. Here they are:

Pacific Region : The Green Ambassadors team , Australia . Students: Catherine Chan and Sin Hang Yung
East Asia : SmartFCOS Team , Indonesia . Students: Yusiran Herviyandi Herizal and Sagaria Haq
North America : Sea-Rate Team , USA . Students: Ana Claus, Alexandra Berkova and Amanda Perez
South America : Green Thunder , Peru . Students: Angie Porras and Andres Diaz Zamora
China : WBGYYDS Team , China . Students: YiLong Yao, QianJiao Ge, YiFang Zhang and HaoXi Zhang
Europe : AIdroponic , Italy . Students: Carlo Cortellini, Chiara Canciani and Francesco Peracchia
India : Eco-Brains , India . Students: Bhuvanjeet Singh Gandhi and Ishika Ahuja
Middle East and Africa : GreenOverMorrow , Morocco . Students: Abir Werzgan, Hajar Werzgan and Omrane Derhy

The teams were mentored by executive leaders from Schneider Electric and AVEVA, and will pitch their ideas to a judging panel, comprised of senior executive leaders from Schneider and AVEVA, on June 21. The winning team will be announced on June 23.

The winning team will receive 10,000 euros, and all finalists will be invited to a job interview which could lead to a job at Schneider Electric or AVEVA.
