In line with its commitment to improving the customer experience through technology and relentless innovation, MSCI Inc. has announced a strategic alliance with Google Cloud to build A cloud-native investment data capture and development platform that provides data, insights and solutions to support better and faster investment decisions.
Built natively in Google Cloud, the investment profile platform will help MSCI build solutions to better serve its clients, including asset managers, asset owners, banks, corporates, insurance companies and wealth managers.
MSCI uses Google Cloud’s artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP) technologies, as well as advanced analytical tools such as BigQuery , VertexAI and Document AI , designed to help MSCI capture, absorb and process structured data at an unprecedented scale and speed and unstructured data. MSCI will have a consistent profile, making it easier to innovate solution suites and quickly unlock new insights.
In addition, Google Cloud will provide MSCI with geospatial analysis tools such as Earth Engine and BigQuery Geospatial to help quantify physical and transitional climate risk indicators for securities, geography and markets. The integration of geospatial data into MSCI products and solutions is designed to enable investors to more accurately and efficiently model climate risk by location, enabling more informed analysis, forecasting and decision-making.
