“This is really going to be a huge data center in Mumbai. It will be our fifth data center in Mumbai and our ninth in India. It will surely be a ‘marquee’ data center from an industry’s standpoint. It should be ready by June 2015,” informed, Karan Kirpalani, Associate Vice President, Product Management, Netmagic Solutions.

At present, the company manages its growing set of customer base in India with the help of its 8 data centers spread across the length and breadth of India. It has 4 data centers in Mumbai itself and one of these data center is located right inside the Bombay Stock Exchange and caters to specific needs of stock broker community. “One of our Data center is located inside the BSE in Mumbai – this is specifically designed for online broking community and enables zero latency network for zero latency trading,” Karan adds on.

In addition to the above, the company has two data centers in Bangalore and one data center each in Chennai and Noida, in the NCR region. All these data centers are all tier 3 / tier 4 facilities.

“Our planned data center in Mumbai would be an expansion of our existing data center footprint in India. The kind of growth that we are experiencing will justify creation of this level of infrastructure. It would be the largest data center from a hosting stand point. Currently we have Network Operation Centers and the Security Operations Centers – the NOCs and SOCs. So this new data center in Mumbai will be our largest NOC and largest SOC that will monitor and manage our customer’s infrastructure. Additionally, it will be the largest cloud grid in India with all the latest industry specifications. It is going to be a marquee data center for India,” he added.
