Keeping in mind the focus towards empowering the enterprise segment, NEC has recently announced its offering towards unified communications and collaboration. Christened as UNIVERGE 3C, the solution is aimed at reducing the enterprise cost towards communications and create big business value. Zubair Alam, General Manager, Enterprise Business, NEC India speaks with ChannelDrive.in on the way NEC is moving ahead with this focus and what role will partners play.

What is the present focus for NEC? Where is the big growth likely to come from? 

We have already launched our Empowered IT Framework and UNIVERGE 3C Unified Communications and Collaboration software for smart enterprises to fuel new India IT growth trends in India. This is going to be a big growth segment for us.

What are some of the market segments that NEC would be targeting with this solution?

We are targeting those segments where UCC can play a critical role in terms of creating a big value add for the enterprise. We are looking at segments such as hotels and hospitality, ITES, government etc as these are some of the big segments where UCC can play a vital role.

What kind of channel partners do you have for pushing this solution in India?

We are working closely with our national partners in the form of Enkay Technologies, Syntel Arvind Limited (Telecom Division), Intellicon Pvt. Ltd. and AGC Networks to push this UCC solution for different enterprise verticals.

UNIVERGE 3C delivers UC&C tools to business users for virtually any device while maintaining a consistent user experience. The software services adapt to a wide variety of business roles, from sales and support, to internal workgroups providing increased efficiencies and greater workforce productivity.

NEC has entered this segment quite late. What is the biggest value proposition that NEC brings to the table for enterprise?
