Extreme Networks, Inc., has joined the VMware NSX partner ecosystem. Extreme Networks and VMware are collaborating to enable interoperability between the Extreme Summit® x670-G2 and Summit x770 series switches and the VMware NSX network virtualization platform.
The resulting interoperability will enable Extreme Networks’ customers and resellers to better manage and control their software-defined data centers and create new opportunities in this burgeoning market.
VMware architected NSX, a critical pillar to the software-defined data center, to extend the benefits of virtualization to the network. VMware NSX extensibility allows ecosystem partners to provide customers with a broad portfolio of network automation, security, application delivery and operations services that allow them to holistically manage their physical and virtual network environments.
Extreme Networks’ data center switching technologies offer customers cutting edge density as well as flexible design and deployments options.
