We are focusing big time on cloud and mobility. Our go to market strategy is clear, we want to develop products and services for vendors and create value addition for partners by generating extra buck for partner by giving them extra product lines.

We are a family driven organisation headed by our chairman JP Modi and CEO and Director Shyam Modi and team of first and second generation. The new generation includes myself, Atul Modi, Vivek, Ankit and Tarun. We are aligned with our marketing, sales, HR, finance teams.

How many vendors are you working with today?

We are currently working with more than 15 vendors in India,  majority of them include Asus, HP, Microsoft, Simmtronics, Ctrls, Leviton, Cyber Power, Uniline and others.

How many distributors and channel partners work with you today? and what is the roadmap for increasing your channel strength?

We are currently working with almost 5000 partners and to increase the channel strength we started our operations this year in Punjab, Gujarat, and Karnataka. We are also continuously evaluating new products and services which, is in turn help us to reach out to new set of partners and geographies.

Enterprise customers are working on tight budgets and often ask for unique value propositions. How do you make sure that Modi Infosol is always delivering a unique value proposition for its customers?

We guide our partners and customers on selecting the right technology at right price point which becomes a guiding force to drive IT and mobility within the Organisation.

What kind of business verticals are you looking at today? where is the big growth likely to come from?

Big growth will come from cloud services, mobility and definitely

consolidation in the market will help us grow in traditional business. In addition to this, we also expect growth to come from new geographical expansion and introduction of new product lines.

How do you look at the competition in India? there are many times when a solution provider has to partner with another managed service provider to venture into other geographies and win customers. Do you agree on this thought?

Yes, we believe in collaborative work and we focus largely on core competence and because of this we always believe joint venture like managed services + right solution will give value addition to customers, we also act as a bridge between solution providers and managed service players.

What are some of the trends that are reshaping the industry today? What are some of the challenges that you are facing in the current market scenario?

Today there is a change of scenario and trends that we are witnessing. Customers are fast moving from desktops to laptops and to tablets and phablets.

Phablets and tablets penetration has increased many fold over the recent past. More and more customers are now moving towards cloud based solutions. Enterprise customers are moving from CapEx to OpEx model and that’s where acceptance of cloud is coming to the fore.

The whole perception is changing, from IT budgets on product cost to TCO. From giving priority to price, customers are shifting to working closely with service oriented partners and vendors. For example, earlier uptime of network was the key for enterprise, today it is all about maintaining compliance, control, scalability, continuity, flexibility to user and security of their networks and IT infrastructure.
